Greetings from The Palawan Scientist!

We are excited to announce that beginning September 2025, The Palawan Scientist journal will transition to an interdisciplinary theme centered on the interplay of science, society, and sustainability.

This shift aligns with Scopus' suggestion for the journal to have a more focused purpose, which is also in line with the Western Philippines University tagline, "A strong partner for sustainable development". We believe that this new focus will enhance the journal's relevance in addressing the pressing environmental, social, economic, and technological challenges. Hence, as part of this transition, all future paper submissions should connect or explain the paper's relevance in sustainable development.

We look forward to your continued support as we work towards finding solutions to the challenges we face today.
